In-Building Seminar in Riyadh

The Four Season Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre played host to our first in-building seminar in Saudi Arabia. We received 37 members of the Saudi in-building ecosystem and were delighted to share our industry knowledge with them as well as hear about their challenges.

The Riyadh team consisted of Tom Story, our Sales Director for EMEA; Mekki Bennis, one of our EMEA Sales Engineers; Yvan Guyot, our Sales Manager for MEA and Mario Bouchard, iBwave’s CEO.

The day began with a light breakfast closely followed by Yvan and Mario’s welcome address. Mario then described iBwave’s findings from our worldwide tour and an overview of the state of the indoor market in all regions of the world. This presentation was followed by a description and demo of iBwave Unity, our central management platform for in-building projects. The morning session wrapped up with some tips and tricks on how to upgrade existing in-building networks to LTE.

Prayer, lunch and a bit of networking followed.

The afternoon session kicked off with a demo of the whole iBwave Product Suite by Mekki and was followed by Q&A and a group discussion led by Mario. Before we knew it, the seminar was over and it was time for the luck y draw. We handed out 10 iBwave GOT COVERAGE? hats to our lucky winners.

We were happy to interact with and learn more about the players in this unique market and hope to come back to Saudi Arabia soon.

Howzit Johannesburg!

In 2013 we’ve done seminars in Toronto, Paris, Santiago, Panama, Bogota, Rio de Janeiro, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta, Calgary, Vancouver, Riyadh and Berlin. There was one continent missing in this tour… Africa! So the next stop on our 2013 tour: Johannesburg!

The team: Jalal Berrahou, Manager Sales Engineering for the EMEA region; Amr Ghazy, Sales Engineer; Tom Story, Director of Sales for EMEA and Yvan Guyot, Sales Manager for MEA. The Leriba Hotel & Spa in Centurion (near Joburg) played host to our 35 attendees from all over the South African in-building community. Jalal presented some great material on how to upgrade existing networks to 4G as well as tips for managing an increasing amount of 4G projects.

The presentations led to some dynamic discussion, involving great insight into the challenges faced by the South African in-building community. We finished off the day with a lucky draw for some GOT COVERAGE? hats and a free iBwave Certification seat.

Congrats to our iBwave Certification winner and to our hat winners. Thanks to all who attended and we hope to see you again soon!

The Northeast DAS & Small Cell Forum hosted its second Boston social last Wednesday evening at Jerry Remy’s rooftop terrace, overlooking historical Fenway Park. Despite the heat, Demetra Georgoudis from the iBwave Inside Sales team was determined to get some photos with the iBwave hat.
